Richardson, Texas - R. J. Falconi, vice president and general counsel of CSA Group has advised IAEI that the Executive Committee of its Board of Directors passed a resolution appointing Jim Carpenter to the Certification Board of CSA International on February 27, 2003. In his role as CEO and executive director of the IAEI, which represents electrical inspectors internationally, Mr. Carpenter will be a great asset to the Certification Board by sharing his knowledge and expertise.

Mr. Carpenter has been a member of IAEI since 1972. He is also a member of NFPA and is currently serving as chair of the Technical Correlating Committee. He has been a member of CMP!2 since 1987 and chairman of the panel for the last three cycles. Before becoming head of IAEI, he was the previous chief electrical engineer; state electrical inspector for the Engineering Division of the Office of State Fire Marshal, North Carolina Department of Insurance. He had been with the department for twenty years with twenty years electrical experience prior to coming to the state.

International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI) is the only international organization that focuses primarily on training and supporting electrical inspectors in their mission of ensuring safety in electrical installations. IAEI works closely with developers of standards and third party testing and certification organizations.
