IAEI Announces Establishment of the Anthony J. Montuori Memorial Fund

IAEI has announced the creation of the Anthony J. Montuori Memorial Fund in honor of its 2002 international president who died in office. Montuori is survived by his wife Madeleine.

“The Memorial Fund has been established to honor Tony’s vision and quest for continued excellence in electrical safety throughout the world, and to provide a living legacy and message of leadership in tribute to him. This memorial fund is a way for Tony’s friends and colleagues to honor his life and contributions to the industry,” said James Carpenter, chief executive officer and executive director. “IAEI is proud to establish this fund, together with Tony’s family, with the first contribution.”

“Tony’s death has been a great professional and personal loss for all of us at IAEI. He was a caring and concerned individual who put the needs of the association above his personal interests. He made many significant contributions to our association and was a friend for many of us. His main focus was to improve electrical services and safety through his involvement with IAEI. The electrical industry has lost a champion and IAEI has lost a good friend, ” Carpenter continued.

A spontaneous effort for this memorial was started by individuals who have a strong desire to see this living legacy become a reality. The memorial fund will be administered by IAEI. A portion of the proceeds will be used for educational technology. Other portions will be used for the maintenance and upkeep of the international office and conference center. An immediate goal of $200,000 has been established. Corporate and individual contributions are greatly valued and appreciated. All gifts are tax deductible.

Donations can be made payable to:
