The Rocky Mountain Chapter and the Western Section of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors would like to extend an invitation to you to attend the 109thAnnual Meeting to be held at the Double Tree Hotel in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado. Colorado Springs is situated approximately 70 miles south of Denver and was founded by William Jackson Palmer, a Civil War General and Medal of Honor winner. General Palmer was a surveyor with the Kansas Pacific Railroad. Unfortunately, he was not able to convince the Kansas Pacific Railroad to come to the area of Colorado Springs.

onsequently, he then formed the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad. Colorado Springs was founded on July 31, 1871, as the first stop on the railroad south of Denver. Colorado Springs is at the foot of both Cheyenne Mountain of NORAD fame and Pikes Peak. Pikes Peak is widely known as "Americas Mountain” and is the second most visited mountain in the world. Colorado Springs is also the home of the United States Air Force Academy.

This years meeting will feature the introduction of the NEW 2014 National Electrical Code and the featured program is the IAEI Analysis of the Changes Presentation.

US 24 heads east to Lyman where it joins with I-70. The Colorado Springs Airport is Colorado’s second busiest and is served by several carriers, including United, American, Delta and Allegiant. The airport is located 7 miles from the Double Tree Hotel which provides complimentary transportation to and from.
