Intertek Offers Technical Seminars on Military EMC, HazLoc, and Energy Star on August 19th
Boxborough, MA – July 21, 2010 – Intertek, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, will be hosting a full day of complimentary technical seminars. Topics of the seminars will include EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and Military EMC testing; Hazardous Locations (HazLoc) testing; and pending changes to the US Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® program. The seminars will be held on Thursday, August 19th at Intertek’s state-of-the-art labs located at 70 Codman Hill Road, Boxborough, MA.
Hazardous Locations Engineer, Brad Bombardier will begin the day with an information session about routes to compliance for N.A., Europe (ATEX) & (IECEx). Next, David Schramm, Assistant Chief EMC Engineer, and Michael Koffink, EMC Operations Engineering Manager, will discuss current EMC trends and the recent upgrades to Intertek’s labs which offer EMC testing for commercial, military and aerospace requirements.
After attendees are given a tour of Intertek’s state-of-the-art EMC facilities and a complimentary lunch, Mike Parker, VP of Marketing and Government Affairs, will discuss changes in ENERGY STAR regulations, which will require third-party testing in order for products to be certified. These alterations will affect any manufacturer who uses the ENERGY STAR label.
