Jim Dunlop is a curriculum specialist with the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC) for the Electrical Industry, which serves the IBEW/NECA electrical apprenticeship program. Prior to joining NJATC in 2006, he was a principal engineer at the Florida Solar Energy Center, where he supported and directed programs for the U.S. Department of Energy and others in PV systems research, engineering and deployment. He is the principal author of the NJATC Photovoltaic Systems textbook, and has been involved in the specification, design, installation and evaluation of numerous PV systems, and conducted over 200 training programs and seminars for contractors, electricians, engineers and code officials. He holds a B.S. in engineering sciences from the University of Florida, and is a licensed professional engineer and member of IBEW Local 606.
