IAEI Continuing Education Notice

Plan to attend our special meeting. We will celebrate our Chapter’s 50th YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

DATE: Monday, December 2, 2013

TIME: 7:00 p.m. (Board Meeting at 6:30 p.m.)

LOCATION: BGE Energy Sales & Service Building, 7225 Windsor Boulevard, Woodlawn, MD 21244

NOTE: The start time of the meeting is a half-hour earlier than normal.

Jack Lyons, Northeast Field Representative for the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, NEMA, will give a presentation on Evaluating Water-Damaged Electrical Equipment. This NEMA publication provides a resource of information to help inspectors, contractors, and homeowners make sound decisions in evaluating equipment that has been flooded by natural disasters or damaged by fire righting situations. The NEMA Field Rep program works closely with the IAEI Chapters and Divisions. The Field Rep program works with local AHJ and electrical contractors regarding the electrical product use and installation. The Field Reps also work with and monitor the various States adoption and review process of the National Electrical Code, emphasizing timely and current Code adoption. Jack is a resource provided to the Inspectors, Contractors and State Officials on NEC compliance relating to products of the member manufacturers.

Continuing Education Certificates from previous classes may be picked up at the meeting. Please plan to attend this meeting to obtain your certificate(s), as we do not mail them.

Let’s have a large turn out for our guest speaker. We look forward to seeing you. Invite any non-members who would have interest in this subject. Special refreshments will be served following the presentation to celebrate our 50th Year Anniversary.
