| Job Description |
Duties:
The Town of Hingham is seeking an Inspector of Wires to perform technical inspection work and enforcement functions for the Building Department. Work includes performing inspections of electrical systems; interpreting and enforcing electrical codes and providing information and assistance to applicants regarding the permitting process. Employee works under the general direction of the Building Commissioner.
Requirements:
A candidate for this position should have a high school diploma or equivalent, three (3) to five (5) years of experience as a licensed journeyman electrician, installing wires for light, heat, power, alarms, voltage, motor and controls, voice, data, communications and signal systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Licenses and certificates required include: a valid Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician’s License, and a valid driver’s license.
Pre-employment Condition:
This position will be subject to a pre-employment physical, physical ability test, and CORI check. |
