• The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) is the authority having jurisdiction throughout Ontario, performs electrical inspections, and is also responsible for managing licensing requirements for licensing electrical contractors. Responsibility for interpretation of Electrical Safety Code regulations remains solely with ESA.
  
  
• Ontario is presently using an amended 2002 19th edition. When the 2009 CE Code is ready Ontario will go from the 2002 to the 2009 Code.
