The Pacific Linemen Training Program is devoted to the employee’s general understanding of electricity.
In addition they will learn terminology and electrical power systems. The school uses actual hands-on situations for training construction of overhead and underground distribution lines. Developing maintenance and operation procedures with safety as priority. The students will attend 6 3-week hands-on training sessions over an 18-month period. The linemen will learn all aspects of line work with an emphasis on safety. Specially developed for the Pacific Region this training will provide the skills, knowledge and attitude for linemen in this millennium. Less down time, specialized classes, lineman certification, safer work ethics and employee interaction are just some of the benefits the utilities will experience. As Pacific Master Linemen the selected students will walk away with valuable knowledge, improved confidence, stronger safety ethics and the ability to serve their Utility with a better understanding of the industry.
