Electrical Codes
Therefore at its May 23, 2007 regularly scheduled meeting, with no public comments or requests for local modification being received, the South Carolina Building Code Council ordered that the 2005 National Electrical Code® be implemented for mandatory enforcement by all South Carolina jurisdictions on July 1, 2007.

The Building Code Council also voted to not recognize 2005 NEC Annex G (formerly Article 80) as administrative policies and procedures are the sole responsibility of each local jurisdiction.  However, if a jurisdiction desires to utilize Annex G it may do so by adopting a local ordinance adopting Annex G.
