“I am Safety Smart” Program
Safe behavior does not just happen. It is learned when it is shared and practiced. I am Safety Smart! is designed to support educators nationwide in teaching safety-conscious behavior.
Professionally trained electrical inspectors will share Safety Smart lessons with children 4 to 14 years old and help them develop life safety skills. Spike, a cartoon character, teaches the younger children seven vital home safety lessons. Hands-on experiments demonstrate safety lessons to the older children.
You can be part of this exciting program by volunteering to become a Safety Ambassador. So join IAEI and UL in working together for a safe world. Together we will have a lasting and positive impact on preventing unintentional injuries and their consequences.
