New Requirements for Series Rated Systems

There are two accepted methods to meet the interrupting rating requirements of 110.9, fully rated systems and series-rated systems. In the interest of building and worker safety, the 2005 NEC has added another type of series-rated system, for existing installations, when selected by licensed professional engineers, stamped, and properly documented for use by all interested parties.
