Battery-based energy storage systems (BESS) are being installed in many parts of the world. There are numerous large-scale systems scheduled to be installed in Alberta in the next year. In this seminar Steve Douglas will delve into BESS from beginning to end including permitting requirements, installation standards and the inspection process. Steve Douglas is the Senior Technical Codes Specialist for QPS, an IAEI member and member of the Part 1 committee of the CE Code.
