IAEI is pleased to share this interactive, informative, online solar PV training for code officials and PV installers. IAEI participated in the content. Five video modules review the basics of how to make PV inspections efficient and effective and give installers good insight to help jobs meet code. Join experienced inspectors Jim, Bob, Rebekah, and Pete as they walk you through inspections on real PV systems. IREC charges a small fee per module. Each module covers inspection of a different system:

  • Microinverter system
  • DC-DC converter system
  • Tesla Powerwall energy storage system
  • Ground mounted AC-coupled system with energy storage
  • 300 kW Commercial carport system

Upon completion of the course, with passing scores on the lesson assessment quizzes, students can apply for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI).
