Education Program:

Hazardous Locations

Meet up with three dangerous critters…you may know them as 500, 501, & 502!

Many of us rarely design, install, or inspect hazardous locations. Yet it happens sometimes. Attend this Orange-Empire Education and avoid this sort of testimony during the litigation.

This extract is from a third deposition by Electrician/Foreman Horst Coors.

Location is Orange County Courthouse room 318.

Assistant District Attorney (DA) Stevens: Did you see the explosion?

Coors: No, I did not. There was nothing at all…then it was all flames and noise in the entire place. It was so bright and loud you couldn’t see nothing.

DA: Could it have been an electrical spark?

Coors: No way – we wired that with whole place Explosion Proof Wiring!

DA: Are you familiar with the Class and Division of that wiring?

Coors: Not sure about any divisions but we always do classy installations.

DA: This explosive event happened during a 12-hour burn-in of the lighting system while the factory production was underway. The luminaires were on continuously, thus had time to heat substantially. Were the luminaires a totally-enclosed type? Were the luminaires rated for a suitable Class, Division, and Group by the manufacturer?

Coors: What’s a luminaire?

Not to worry! We will explain just enough to keep us all out of trouble!

BONUS!!! Free access to two of the WORLD’s BEST cheat-sheet handouts for Hazardous Location wiring methods will be no-cost takeaways from this class! Free updates will be available as well!
