Quick Fact: Home to NFPA, which produces the NEC, Massachusetts is usually the first state to adopt the National Electrical Code at the beginning of each code cycle. This adoption is across all local jurisdictions as required by regulations and statute. Massachusetts is set to adopt the NEC-2020 in January 2020. (Send us an update):

Units of timeContact Hours. Of the 21 hours, 15 must be related to topics on the Massachusetts Electrical Code, Business, La, and related topics. Six may be in an area chosen by the licensee for professional development and may include NEC topics.
