We will provide you with the means to ensure that your personal information is correct and current. You may review and update this information at any time at the Member Services center. You can:

• View and edit personal information you have already given us.
• Renew your IAEI membership.
• Subscribe or cancel subscriptions to newsletters about our seminars or products.

Use of your Personal Information

• Ordering: We collect personally identifiable Information, including credit card information, when you purchase products and services. We collect this information to deliver your order, to obtain payment, and to communicate with you about the status of your order. We may share personal information with third parties necessary to helping us fulfill your order or service request.

• Membership registration: We collect personally identifiable Information when you obtain your membership information online. We keep this information for reference if you later request customer service and we use the information to personalize that service. We may use this information to contact you about your membership and to send the monthly membership newsletter, information about section, chapter, and division meetings and events, and information about IAEI seminars and publications. Members may set email preferences in their account. We may display name, email address and mailing address of members who are section, chapter or division officers to enable the business of the association, or display an alternate section, chapter or division email and address if supplied to us.

• Professional certification: We collect personally identifiable Information, including credit card information, when you apply for and renew professional certification. We collect this information to manage your certification, to obtain payment, and to communicate with you about the status of your certification. We display the name and general location of our professional certification holders on our website but will not if requested.

• Online surveys and polling: We collect personally identifiable Information from members who volunteer to complete surveys or participate in polls. We use this information to improve our services. Results will be shared only in aggregate unless you provide specific permission, such as for a testimonial.

• Promotional activities: We collect personally identifiable Information from you when you enter a promotional program or activity. We use this information to administer the program or activity, to send you promotional e-mails, notify winners, and make the winners' list publicly available pursuant to certain states' laws.

• Contact information: If you contact us, we may keep a record of your correspondence or comments, including personally identifiable information, in a file specific to you. We use this information to help us provide better service in the event you contact us again.

Except as set forth above, IAEI will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on IAEI or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of IAEI and its family of websites, and, (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of IAEI, its websites, or the public. We do not sell your contact information.

Collecting your Personal Information

We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you (personal information) or allows us to contact you. Generally, this information is requested when you are asked to register for a seminar, registering for membership, or when purchasing and registering IAEI products. Personal information collected by iaei.org often is limited to e-mail address, language, country or location, but may include other information when needed to provide a service you requested.

For example: If you choose to make a purchase in the Shop area of the website, we will request personal information such as: name, address, telephone number, credit card number and shipping information. When you buy and install a new product, we may ask you to register your purchase electronically. When you do, we keep this registration information on file with any information you've already given us on previous visits to our website. This is considered your personal profile.

IAEI.org strictly protects the security of your personal information and honors your choices for its intended use. We carefully protect your data from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Your personal information is never shared outside the company without your permission, except under conditions explained above. Inside the company, data is stored in password-controlled databases with limited access. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country where IAEI, its chapters, or divisions are located. IAEI acknowledges your trust and is committed to protecting the information you provide us. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain accuracy, and ensure proper use of information, we have employed physical, electronic, and managerial processes to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

When you make a purchase from iaei.org, we use Secure Sockets Layer ("SSL") encryption technology to safeguard your credit card and other sensitive information while it is being sent to us. The SSL encryption is designed to make the information unreadable by anyone but us. This security measure is working when you see either the symbol of an unbroken key or closed lock (depending on your browser) on the bottom of your browser window.

You also have a significant role in protecting your information. Only you and limited authorized IAEI staff can both view and edit your personal information. Authorized IAEI officers can view a subset of your personal information to fulfill their responsibilities for IAEI sections, chapters and divisions. No one else may view or edit your personal information without knowing your ID and password, so do not share these with others.
